Whether you just made your first appointment with our team or you’re in the process of scheduling your first visit, we want to welcome you to the Southbridge Dental Care family! Our team loves working with new and returning patients alike, and we look forward to getting to know you and your family. What should I bring with me to my first appointment?
If you have dental insurance and are planning on using it to pay for your care, please bring your insurance card with you to your first appointment. We also recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes earlier than you normally would for an appointment to fill out your new patient forms. If you have had any X-rays taken in the last six months, you can have that dental office forward them to our practice along with any additional notes that may be important.
What happens during the first visit?
During a patient’s very first visit to our office, we like to set aside a little extra time during their appointment to get to know them and answer any questions that they may have. This is your opportunity to learn more about our practice and the many ways we can help you achieve and maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. Building a strong rapport with each patient is important to our team, as we always want to have open and honest communication with each patient.
What is a consultation?
A consultation is an appointment where we discuss a specific treatment option with a patient to see if it is right for them and their oral health needs. Not every dental office offers services like oral surgery or Botox, so if you already have a primary dental care provider but want or need an additional service, feel free to schedule a consultation with us. This time will be reserved for you to ask any specific questions you have, and then we can schedule your actual treatment.
What if my family needs special accommodations?
At Southbridge Dental Care, we pride ourselves on being able to work with patients of all different ages and dental backgrounds. If you or your child need a special accommodation of some kind, please let our office know before your first visit, and we will do our best to assist you. Our family block appointments and Saturday office hours are also designed to help our patients receive high-quality, convenient treatments when they need them.
